The production is a bouffant clown retelling of the story of Swan Lake. The client wanted a poster and visual system that stood out in a comedic way that highlighted the themes of love, perception, and womanhood, and evoked a feeling of slight unease.

In collaborating on this project, I had to utilize many different mediums for promotional content, from posters, multiple social media formats, flyers, newspaper advertisements, and bus-stop-sized cowgate posters.

As the production evolved, so did the visual identity: for every step of the production, the visual system had to accommodate different festival brand guidelines and parameters, as well as develop to better fit the client's needs and desires in accordance with the show's growth. Although similar, the deliverables from the beginning of the partnership to its current state are incredibly different, as can be seen with the newspaper advertisement in the centre of the page.

I photographed both this production and HEYwire! Theatre’s @interWEBBED, which I used tosocial media content for both shows.
